If they stand up straight, they bang their heads, so they stoop
Bent over, trudging along, all their lives
All together
All under the machine

A world of weapons and war, that is accepted, without thought, by nearly all
A world of suffering and struggling and fear, that is accepted, without thought, by nearly all
A world where millions eat while billions starve
A world designed to hurt the people of the world

And the people of the world cannot see these things
They are not taught to think about these things
They are taught to think about money
They are taught to think about film stars

The purpose of the machine is the eradication of the knowledge of the human soul
You are being taught to forget everything you ever knew about the human soul

What is the human soul?
What do you know about it?

We farm them you see
We don't milk them, or shear them or chop them up and eat them
But they are our stock and we do maintain them
You see, as they work, their work earns us profits, and as they work they earn money, which they spend on the things we sell them, which makes us even more profit
And with all these profits, we live like kings
It's a simple system, but it works a treat
As long as they never realise.

They tell you what to do, and you just do it
They do nothing
They just tell you, and you do it
They don’t fight in the wars
You do
You want to live in peace and harmony with everyone else
They want you to live divided and suspicious
So you do
You want everybody to have enough
They want to live in palaces while you starve
And so they do, and so do you
Because that’s how they tell you it must be
And you believe them

And then you make it happen
They do nothing. You do everything
And just look what they’ve made you do

You know me right, do you know what I'd love to do, right, when I die, I'd love to be reborn in a thousand years time, do you know why, because, do you know how you've got these 4k tellys at the moment, have you seen them, they're amazing aren't they, well I'd love to come back in a thousand years time, because, if you imagine right, you think what kind of mobile phones they'll have then, they'll have like a thousand k or like a million k phones, can you imagine that, going to work on the bus and watching a Netflix on your phone at a million k, like ultra unbelievable high definition, can you imagine it though, I think it'd be amazing.

What do you mean 'going to work on the bus', we won't be getting the bus to work in a thousand years time will we, it'll all be like flying cars by then. What you mean is you'll be getting a flying bus to work, like in them science fiction films.

When you are a cog in the machine, all you can think about is turning.
When you are outside the machine, all you can think about is smashing the machine.
Machines are supposed to serve us, not the other way round.

Who could be taught to enjoy killing, but demons
Who could be content, surrounded by misery, but demons
Who, but demons, would want to remove the soul from life
Who, but demons, would happily turn heaven into hell

But the rich said we have to do it, so, you know, we have to do it, don't we
I mean, if you ask me, I wouldn't go to war and kills loads of people, but it's not up to me though, is it, it's up to the rich
And if the rich want us to go war, well then we go to war don't we, because, you know, they're rich, aren't they, and they decide these things
And, if the rich want us all to work our lives away in jobs that really don't need doing, just so they can be very slightly richer, then that's what we all just have to get on with doing, don't we, because they obviously know what's best for us, and the world, because, you know, they're rich
And being rich, they rightly get to decide how we all live, forever, don't they
Because they're rich

And as we all know, from all we are ever taught, being rich is the best a human being can be
